This could actually be featured in my weekly super food spotlight, but because I'm just a tad bit vain, I will focus on what this amazing plant does for your skin. The benefits of aloe Vera extend to stimulating production of collagen and elastin both of which are necessary to prevent aging of the skin. As a moisturizer, aloe Vera is very popular as it removes dead cells and also aids in the penetration of healthy substances. It reduces the intensity of pigmentation and lightens dark spots on the face. In a nutshell, I cannot live without a fresh aloe leaf. The mere fact that a giant leaf is only about a dollar is music to my ears as well. After washing my face, I just cut a small piece from the leaf and apply the gel like substance. It has made my skin so smooth and clear that I can't believe I went so long without it. It's great for total body use and is so moisturizing that it can really replace your daily lotion. There is only one draw back, your significant other may not like it so much. The taste is extremely bitter and remains bitter on your skin for a while. So definitely avoid before (shall we say) intimate play.
